Jan and I traveled to North Platte, Nebraska to join about 60 other former Nebraska Jaycees for a 35th anniversary of the Nebraska Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) finishing 1989-90 as the National Champion number 1 state in America. Led by State President Gary Person, 130 chapters across the state Conceived, Believed, and Achieved their way to the top at the annual meeting in Louisville, KY. We sat around and talked all day, remembering good times, good friends, and friends who left us too soon. We were honored to have a special phone call from Past National President Robby Dawkins. The great works those chapters performed lives on in the people they touched.
Shout out to Gary and the folks from Sidney and North Platte for all their support!
And a special shout out to Hastings Jaycees Deb and Tim Johnson. We visited all night and may have plotted the return of the Hastings Jaycees “Greatest Member!” (If you know, you know).
