About The Crew

In 1931 John H. Armbruster wrote in the first Log of the S.S. Fellowship “We can sail this ship together – we can be present in spirit if not in person – this ship ought to have fair weather and the voyage through life should bring many experiences that each of us can share – reminding me of the two lines of an old song:

“Comrades, comrades, ever since we were boys
Sharing each other’s sorrows, sharing each others joys.”

John H. Armbruster

Since that time, there has been many changes in both the size and composition of the Junior Chamber/Jaycees organization and the “Crew of the S.S. Fellowship” has adapted as well but John’s vison has not changed and we continued to keep and maintain those relationships of the National leadership.

Of course, in 1931 there was no internet or web sites or email for us to be able to communicate so this site is the normal evolution of the S.S. Fellowship.

A few basics about the S.S. Fellowship on the web.

  • The S.S. Fellowship is sponsored by The United States Junior Chamber of Commerce Foundation in cooperation with the JCI USA.
  • There is a searchable database of all members of the CREW and it is password protected. If you are a member of the Crew and wish to receive a copy of the password. Click here.
  • If you wish to update your information in the database, fill out the update form and we will update your information as soon as possible.
  • Anyone who has served on the JCI USA Executive Committee is automatically added to the CREW each year.
  • The United States Junior Chamber of Commerce Foundation administers the CREW and if you are a member of the Crew and wish to nominate an individual to the Crew you may do so by submitting a Nomination Form.
  • Historically, Logs of the S.S. Fellowship have been mailed. We are making them accessible in the Past Issues of the Log section. Going forward the Log will be live and a continuous feed in the Crew News.
